Does anyone have any info on whether Tetramorium should be hibernated or not. I have been hibernating my colonies, but I want to hear others opinions.

My tetramorium don't really grow that fast. Am I doing something wrong? The only thing I can think of is that I don't heat them, but they are in an un-airconditioned room.
They either need more warmth or more protein.
Hmmm. They have plenty of protien, so I guess it's the wamth.
I did not hibernate mine. They are exploding. Getting super hungry.
Mine have loved husked pumpkin and sunflower seeds, and any form of insect I have thrown in there.

I hibernate mine for 3 months as I find they grow very fast in the spring and summer. Try feeding them a lot of different proteins and sugars. Sesame/Sunflower seeds also work well too.

I did not hibernate mine, and they are doing well. Although the colony is growing fast, my Pogonomyrmex actually grow faster on average.

Wow, that it very impressive! My tetramorium is a year old and they are only at about 500 workers. I will definitely give them a lot more proteins and heat.
So since it looks as if tetramorium hibernation is not too important, would it be okay to put them out of hibernation in January. They were put into hibernation in November.

My 2018 queen, Sif, made it to 8,000 workers after one year.
That's honestly just crazy to me. What formicarium was the colony in? Do you still have the colony?
