This colony is doing pretty good. They are now up to fifteen workers.

I just put the colony into hibernation today.
Update 3-16-2017
I just took these guys out of hibernation. Looks like not a single worker died.

Protein and sweet liquids.
Aha! This must be the species of Aphaenogaster that is literally everywhere where I live. I plan on catching a young colony of these soon.

I accidentally froze all my ants
Update 10-4-2017
This colony has been doing quite well. A few days ago I counted about 180 workers, but something in the air killed off tons of my colonies the other day; I'm not sure what it was. The colony is now at about 100 workers.
Update 1-13-2018
This colony has gone down in size even more. They are now around 70 workers. I just put them into hibernation for the winter.
Occidentalis forgot to feed them?
