Paratopula has one confirmed egg! Though she still has her wings on, I hope she founds successfully.

Tetramorium has more workers but their test tube is getting moldy.

Odontomachus has one pupa.

Paratopula founding!!! I hope you succeed because from what I hear that's rare.

Currently kept ant species, favorites have a star in front of their names (NOT in alphabetical order, also may be outdated sometimes): Camponotus irritans inferior, Ooceraea biroi, Pheidole parva, Nylanderia sp., Paraparatrechina tapinomoides, Platythyrea sp., Anochetus sp., Colobopsis sp. (cylindrica group), Crematogaster ferrarii, Polyrhachis (Myrma) cf. pruinosa, Polyrhachis (Cyrtomyrma) laevissima, Tapinoma sp. (formerly Zatapinoma)

Death count: Probably over a hundred individual queens and colonies by now. I cannot recall whatsoever.

Don't lose hope! The bulk of the nuptial flights had already started and the best time to find some is tonight. Good luck!

Can I have the schedules of when I should be expecting what stages of brood?

Egg-Larva: about 1 week. Larva-Pupa: about 1-1.5 weeks. Pupa-Worker: 1.2-1.5 weeks.

Note: The times may vary.

Odontomachus simillimus, the nanitic is on the cotton and unfortunately covered by the light reflection. Also another larva failed to spin it's cocoon, I don't know why. :(

I'm using Tapatalk again lol. Anyway for mesoponera I recommend fruit flies. Live.

I caught another Mesoponera alate and I just got home and now Trichomyrmex destructor has workers, Paratopula should have larvae in a few days and all the newer colonies have more workers.

Update: Anochetus sp2 queen already laid an egg! Compared to my previous queen which took like 5 days of feeding before she laid eggs (after all, they are different species). And also my colony of Anochetus has much less pupae compared with before I went to my grandmother's house even though there's a decent amount of larvae at that time which is worrying me a bit. I suspect that since I haven't came back for two days, their nest had dried up and the larvae could not pupate due to the absence of humidity. Anyways, does humidity affect the larvae's success rate of pupating?

Edit: I also just realised that Paratopula only has 5 legs. :o

Pictures:

Paratopula sp, she doesn't like me taking pictures of her and she likes to run around her test tube carrying her eggs whenever she feels vibrations or sees light. Circled is an egg and a larva.

WhatsApp Image 2021-11-08 at 1.13.03 PM.jpeg

Trichomyrmex destructor, the queen now has workers and next the worker next to her seems to be a major.

gallery_6038_2070_21885.jpeg

Anochetus sp2, she's a dark red Anochetus queen and she already laid two eggs! (not in picture unfortunately) Also good luck finding her in the picture  ;) , she blends in very well.

gallery_6038_2070_26579.jpeg

Mesoponera cf rubra, she hasn't shed her wings or has she laid any eggs yet (neither has the other queen of the same species :( ).

Sorry but I have to correct you, It's called a ant colony or formicarium. There's a difference an ant colony has a reproductive and a ant farm is just workers.

1X Pogonomyrmex occidentalis 40-50 Workers

1X Solenopsis molesta 10 Workers (mono)

Ants I Want: Crematogaster sp, Camponotus Sp., Ponera Pennsylvanica, Mymercocystus sp.
