I have 2 Linepithema humile queens for sale along with 25-ish workers. I will be selling the whole colony for $15. Payments will be accepted through venmo only. If you are interested please contact me via the private chat.  :)

I don't think anyone would buy linepithema if it was free tbh.

I'll take the 21 dollars to rid the colony off your hands. If interested, I'll make a venmo so you can send the money and I'll give you where to ship it to. I'll video record disposing of them as proof :)

I thought you wanted to get rid of Argentine ants and were offering 21 dollars to get them off your hands.

Really buddy, why are  you going around trashing peoples threads? Don't you have anything better to do?

He is trying to sell a highly invasive ant, that despite being everywhere is still invasive and non-native. Its like the ebay sellers trying to sell pheidole megacephala or solenopsis invicta. Who cares right? They are everywhere. No its still an invasive non-native ant.

I know that they are invasive, but it's not like he's advertising that they should be released.

That is what people say when trying to sell solenopsis invicta or pheidole megacephala. And the former is everywhere in southern california. But try to sell those anywhere and end up getting shut down.

You know what. I don't want this post to spark so much negativity. Since it is clear you are very against me selling argentine ants, stop posting on my topic. I don't even want to sell them anymore Just let it die.

There's no point in this conversation anymore. Idk why you have to do this, but have a good day.

P.S. L. Humile is so prominent removing it is virtually impossible.

So to you it must be fine to sell Solenopsis invicta then. They are so prominent and common they can't be removed and the state stopped actively controlling them.

Vendayn and RG_Ants. Please stop arguing. I get where you are both coming from. I thought that is was fine selling Linepithema, since some people on the forum want them, and most people on the forum, are smart enough to not release a colony of Argentine ants. I don't even want to sell them anymore. Stop arguing and let the topic die.

Yeah sorry. I should have just kept my opinion to myself. I'm sure there'd be someone who likes them.

I don't think it's against any rule or law to sell argentine ants within the state they were collected.

I am not going to sell them anymore. I was not saying that people should release them, but  guess some people don't understand that.  :(

I'm not selling megacephala though? And I've always been against selling invasive ants. If someone was trying to sell (or buy) Solenopsis invicta, they wouldn't get much love around here and Argentine ants are a vastly worse invasive in the world than they are. To me, its a little weird if someone is against Solenopsis invicta selling, but not a species that is an even worse invasive. Unless one is okay with both, then at least their morales of selling/buying invasives are the same.
