Location:  Aldergate Park, Menifee, California.
Habitat:  Desert scrub.
Coloration, hue and pattern:  Black head, mixed dark red and black thorax and abdomen.
Distinguishing characteristics:  Fairly small spines. Fairly shiny with evenly spread hair.
Length:  6.5mm - 8mm.
