Location:  Ice House Canyon, Mount Baldy, California.
Elevation:  2274 m (7461 ft)
Habitat:  Pine forest.
Coloration, hue and pattern:  All Black.
Length:  5mm - 6mm.

One thing I noticed, is that I don't start seeing these until I reach about the 7000 ft level. I was only hiking along one trail though, so that could have just been a spot where they were abundant.
