Recently I got this colony with several hundreds workers from a local collector, everything is fine so far. I will update its growth on this forum from now on. I’m new on this forum and still have so much things to learn, so nice to be member here.

And some updates on my Novomessor cockerelli. Just two months ago it only has several hundreds workers, now there are already nearly 5000 workers and more than 2000 broods and pupae. Definitely one of the most productive ants I’ve ever kept. Four nests are all occupied, the arenas are also filled with pupae. Time to get a new setup for them. Also recently there are quite a few male ants enclosed, probably around 200, which is a little bit insane. Though it’s time for nuptial flight, the male producing rate is still too high in my opinion. Not sure about why.
