I wonder why wealthy people from Canada go to the USA for medical procedures.  Are they just extremely impatient?

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

No it's cause due to the larger population the US naturally has more propensity for super-specialization. This is simply not plausible with a population not around 35 MIL and is unrelated to socialized healthcare. The other case where this happens is for luxury treatments, in which case Canada doesn't put high on the priority list cause it doesn't really affect someone's life quite as much ex. Pretty much. Our healthcare system is much slower but at least its more affordably for average citizen, not to mention those falling on hard times.

Yep, both systems, as do life, have pros and cons.

How???? I’ve literally been outside all weekend long and have seen squat diddly for queens.
We’re drier than a Baptist wedding out here though, so that doesn’t help.

Aphaenogaster tennesseensis are amazing ants! They have a pretty potent sting for Aphaenogaster. If you could get a colony up and running, they are super rewarding.

Since its labor day, I expect the so called labor day ant (lasius neoniger) to fly in the next week.
