Hello, I'm having trouble identifing this ant. I thought it was a camponotus vicinus queen but the gastor is too small. I have 8 of these, I'm not entirely sure if they are even queens because of the gastor size. I found them in the orangecrest area of Riverside in a suburb at night. I found them May 21-23. That would be sweet if it was V. andrei.

 

I don't see the two spines in the images, but they are also not very clear shots.

Blaze - can you check if she has a pair of long spikes on her mesosoma (thorax)?

 

Here thorax will also have two humps. And she will be hairy.

OH SHOOT! I didn't even notice that! Yeah, she has a pair long spikes protruding from her thorax and she is a little bit hairy
