Found some info online about taking super macro photos without dishing out tons of dough, and came up with my own processes. Here is one of the results:
 
S. invicta alate, she eventually had died after a long time of not producing eggs, but she made for a great practice model.

Just took this image the other day. Found this girl walking around on some bricks. She was unable to climb up vertical surfaces without falling backwards. She also kept leaning forward to the point were her back legs were stick up.

I assume having this attached to an antenna is similar to having something pulling the reigns around on a horse.

As a working photographer, I've been curious about the macros on that camera. Not many point and shoots that are waterproof and rugged can also shoot in RAW.

 

The most interesting macro feature is that it can take 8 successive shots at different focus points and stack them into one image, increasing depth of field.
