Looks good, I'll be keeping my eye on this thread.
I am beginning prints on what should be the final changes on version 2 of my Schermicarium and Schermicarium mini.
I also have tube adapters designed, and plugs that can be prestuffed with cotton.
My version 2 has an auto waterer that allows for most standard size water bottles.
I would be interested in trading formicariums if you get some printed.

also, got another idea after getting a couple of cheap containers are target, two are gonna be for a mini-hearth style, one I'm gonna try to print something for i (figuring that out), and the last is likely gonna be like the cube set-ups enderants does, only time will tell

Well this thread died. Anyways, a bored kid in Social Studies listening to spotify (me) made this for Myrmica maybe:
Also quick question: What kind of print thing should I use? I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you need a special kind so the actual 3d stuff doesn't dissolve or something

Please don't fail school for the sake of the forum
I believe PETG is one of the preferred filaments, and is what I use. And yes, don't fail school. Not good.
Species being kept:
Solenopsis "plebeius", Camponotus maritimus, Formica cf. subaenescens, Formica cf. aerata, Lasius cf. americanus, Lasius aphidicola, Lasius brevicornis, Lasius nr claviger, Nylanderia vividula, Temnothorax nevadensis, Temnothorax chandleri, Temnothorax arboreus Solenopsis validiuscula, Solenopsis truncorum, Solenopsis xyloni, Formica perpilosa, Formica cf. lasiodes, Formica cf. neogagates Pogonomyrmex californicus, Pogonomyrmex salinus, and Myrmecocystus testaceus!!!!
Hoping to find this year:
Myrmecocystus, Liometopum occidentale, Camponotus essigi, Camponotus fragilis, Manica bradleyi, Formica perpilosa, Pheidole hyatti, and a Parasitic Formica sp.
People are stupid. It explains a lot...
Update: Added something for heat cable and some depth, gonna ask my robotics teacher if I can use the 3d printers here (I'm in his class right now and we're literally using this program lmao)
So the part that actually prints is broken, and according to the robotics teacher he's contacted the tech team multiple times about it but they haven't responded. So I guess I should buy that plastic whilst I wait?

That looks nice.
dang those are some nice formicaruims will you put them up for sale?
My favorite queens/colony’s:
Pheidole Tysoni, Selonopis Molesta, Brachymyrmex Depilis, Tetramorium Immagrians, Prenolepis Imparis, Pheidole Bicirinata
Probably not, I might give/trade with some to local ant keepers though

ok, in the past i've made modular hydrostone formicaruims. those are insanely good at staying moist

I plan on making a hydrostone petri dish for Myrmica (someone told me they look sick in those so)

you could make a hybrid one with a base of hydro stone and Plastic walls that would be sick
