I ordered ants in Taobao. China. The order was accepted, but suddenly interrupted. On the question of the reason for the failure, the following "" prohibited items

ants are forbidden to be transported by customs

No allowed to ship, not allowed to ship overseas""

then why is there a lot of videos on the Web showing parcels of ants from China ???

what really can be done in this situation ??

Exporting ants out of China is illegal and the regime has been cracking down hard on smugglers since they got the nasty end of the stick (China didn't give a crap about ant smuggling for years but once chinese citizens started to import foreign ants they are suddenly feeling a need to do something about it, now that it actually affects them).

i'm in Hong Kong, yes, but if these hooligans keep it up, i'm moving back to mainland China...

Yes, definitely better than you. And in my opinion, the police are too soft. As a person who has actually seen the riots firsthand instead of watching it through some biased channel like CNN and apple daily, experienced the inconvenience and attitude, not to mention the protester's views on "free speech" and the dangerous actions of the protesters, who (like me) are massive hypocrites. There are many people who claim to know the situation better than me, yet they sit on the opposite side of the world and judge, if you claim to know how it is so badly, come and experience it first hand, try it from the perspective of a police officer, or a citizen who is just neutral (supporting neither side) or perhaps a rioter, who truly believes what they are doing is right. 

 

 

Sorry for the rant, i'm just slightly annoyed (ahem) at the vast amounts of people who believe themselves to know what is happening

Contact this dude, he is fairly reliable and he is a cool guy with (kinda) reasonable prices. TB is still the king of cheap ants though...

I'm fairly sure that animal exportation laws were one of the things synchronized early as there likely wasn't much resistance on that. Generally there are very few asian countries that actually allow the exportation of wildlife and it's a well-known secret that 90% of the exotic ants sold in Europe are illegal imports (because apparently the EU still can't be bothered to care about insect trade or proper environment protection).

 

And just as a reminder on the HK situation, this whole protest sparked over a law that would have allowed China to pretty much abduct any HK citizen who they could fabricate criminal evidence against to mainland China and it's well known that most of these people just never return (well, parts of them do return, in a way...).
The Chinese government needlessly started this whole crap when they tried to basically legalize Gestapo methods and now they are trying to poison western society by banning everyone who dares to critizise their holy infailable administration and their huge piles of blood money they throw around to blind everyone over what they are actually doing. The Chinese government demanding a US basketball trainer to be fired over a twitter message, canceling NBA transmissions over the tweet of one team's trainer and banning South Park for criticizing them (100% proving the point South Park was making) just makes them look utterly pathetic. And I probably don't have to tell you about the whole Blizzard Entertainment trainwreck by now (which actually got civil rights groups and US CONGRESS involved, BlizzCon is going to be an utter disaster) - "everyone's voice counts" lol.

This level of thin-skinned behavior is NOT the reaction of a self-confident government, it's the telling signs of a ruthless regime panicking to loose control over it's minions and it's reputation in the world (which has already gone down the drain hard over the last weeks), well-knowing that if they can't fix their crumbling clay-footed economy within a decade there's gonna be a big collapse that might end up washing them away.
