Location:  Trabuco Canyon, Orange County, California.
Habitat:  Oak forest/Chaparral.
Coloration, hue and pattern:  Amber head, thorax and legs, half lighter amber, half black gaster.
Length:  3mm.
Distinguishing characteristics:  Large eyes, skinny body, very long legs and antennae.
This ant lifts its head and body up high when it runs.
