1. Location of collection: Santa Ana Mountains, Orange County, California.
2. Date of collection:  4-6-2014.
3. Habitat of collection:  Chaparral.
4. Length (from head to gaster):  7mm.
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture:  Very dark red, almost black head, orangish-red thorax and legs, black gaster.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: 
7. Anything else distinctive:  Found foraging during the day.
8. Nest description:
