Location:  Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
Habitat:  Suburban/Inside my apartment.
Coloration, All black or very dark brown.
Length:  4mm.
Distinguishing characteristics:  Large eyes.
These were flying around inside my apartment. I never saw any outside, only inside.
