Just to put it out there, on the Ant Mating Chart, members of the genus Colobopsis are still listed under Camponotus. I'm not sure if it's possible to change that, but if it could be updated, that'd be nice.  (y)

No I didn't I haven't seen another nest of this species near my garden yet. I also never found any dealated queens while walking around.

Huge storm two days ago in central Indiana. Another mildly large one today.

 

Camponotus (Myrmentoma) sp. and a lot of the other early flyers are out and about. I caught what seemed to be a Nylanderia and Camponotus nearcticus queen yesterday.

Just because the queen has wings does not mean she isn't mated. Especially Camponotus.
