I’ll put out my blacklight for sure, unless it’s storming. I bet you kids will find lots of queens while I find nothing.

Nylanderia flavipes always flies in the afternoon. I’m not sure if your looking for them, though.

My favorite queens/colony’s:
Pheidole Tysoni, Selonopis Molesta, Brachymyrmex Depilis, Tetramorium Immagrians, Prenolepis Imparis, Pheidole Bicirinata

Look on the ground around 12-3 they should fly when it gets above 78F. They usually mate on the ground so there will be de-alates everywhere.

Wow, you guys are so lucky. I’ll look for flavipes this afternoon, but I don’t see much of them in my neighborhood. I only see what I assume are N. vividula at night swarming my light. I’d really, really like to find Crematogaster ashmeadi.

There's either going to be huge castaneus flights or nothing at all tonight. I've got a major test tomorrow so I don't really want to stay up till 1 catching and tubing queens.

Storm just hit here, so that’s probably it for the day. My brother found me a chromaiodes queen, though.

Weather app was saying it would remain 71 after the storm but now it's below 70. If they don't fly on Friday I'll be confused.

Blacklighting next weekend should do it. I find most castaneus in June, though.

I've been finding Tetramorium alates flying into my work at Papa Johns😝. They obviously aren't mated, but still a good indicator that there are small flights happening! So keep a look out!

Keeps:

1:Pogonomymex occidentalis

4: Tetramorium immigrans

2 Reticulitermes flavipes

That’s crazy and probably not good for Papa John’s brand!

I definitely expect flights in the next 4 days. Definitely Camponotus. Not sure which species. Maybe all 3. Might be hot enough for other genus too but I don't know if those species have alates ready to go like that. My local tetra colony has some pretty big entrances. I am not sure what their entrances normally look like but its definitely a lot bigger for just workers.

Keeps: Camponotus, Tetra

Wants (Please reach out if you have them for sale if you’re in the US): Acromyrmex Sp., Atta Sp., Cephalotes Sp., Myrmecocystus Sp (Prefer Mexicanus), Odontomachus Sp. (Prefer Desertorum), Pachycondyla Sp., Pheidole Sp (Prefer Rhea. The bigger the better. Not the tiny bicarinata), Pogonomyrmex Sp (Prefer Badius)., Pseudomyrmex Sp. (Prefer the cute yellow ones)

I agree, but it seems like it will be very windy. I’ll be on the lookout in any case.
