Greetings! I am from Howard County in Maryland. I have moved from Raleigh, North Carolina. Before keeping ants, I have kept tropical fish, newts, mantids, and other inverts. A while back, one of my friends gave me a Uncle Milton ant farm for my birthday. I ordered some harvester ants, and I was hooked. Bu the ants died only after a few weeks. Thus,  I have wanted to receive a queen ant. I have done tireless research, and hope to catch a queen ant soon!


Species I keep:

 

1 Lasius cf. Neoniger 30 workers

1 Camponotus sp. 15 workers

20 Tetramorium SpE 30 workers

1 T. Sessile 200 workers

Welcome. :) I am sure there is someone near you that would sell you a colony, it does not specifically have to be a GAN farmer.

Thanks for the welcome! I scanned the forums, but it seems that everyone is not from Maryland. I guess I will have to be vigilant! :)
