I live a little north, like, not NORTH north, just, like, a little not south in California. file:///media/fuse/drivefs-d91007b507e55fb87abd6acabe5c9518/root/PXL_20230424_011342556.jpg I got the pic finally but in case it won't open for you which i think it won't here's a description; I'm pretty sure she's a camponotus but can't tell much else. She has a HUGE head with small mandibles/jaws, a small abdomen, and a relatively big and long gaster. Her head and gaster are black while her abdomen is orange/red/brownish. She's pretty big, my lasius crypticus queen is around 2/3-2/4 of her size, but that's just a rough estimate. It's the middle of spring where I'm from, and hasn't rained for a while.

I don't think she's big enough for that, and I doubt one of those would live in California
