Does anyone know when liometopum occidentale queens have their nuptial flight in southern california. I came across a huge colony near the side walk trailing to their nest in a tree and wondered when their nuptial flight season is, I would love to have a farm of them started

They fly in Spring.

Multiple times, even. Very common. Look for them in the canyons and foothills near the mountains. They can also be found with a blacklight walking on the ground and not on the actual cloth/bedsheet.
