Anglers are basically fishermen, but use a rod, not a net.

oh. My friend fishes a lot. I have a rod. The only thing I ever caught was a seastar. It was orange and had 9 arms. That's why orange is my ninth favourite colour.

I enjoy fishing a lot. I've done a fair amount of fly fishing and more normal fishing. I've caught fish from all over the US. Golden trout, rainbow trout, brown trout, brook trout, all sorts of bass, some salmon, and all sorts of pan fish. I've never been ocean fishing though. One of my favorite trips was a fishing trip I did last summer in Alaska. I caught tons of silver salmon that had just come up from the ocean (my family brought home over 100 pounds of salmon filets). We also did some fly fishing in some small streams. I caught two rainbow trout over 20"! I also caught a ton of dolly varden and arctic char. It was awesome!

I also have been fishing in California, Nevada, Colorado, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, and Massachusetts.

If I could, I would go fishing a lot more often. I'm just too busy to get a lot of fishing done.

I go fishing occasionally.  I own a 14 foot tin boat wtih an electric motor.

Fish species up here are limited.  I go after pike (jackfish) when I want a good fight or just a lot of action as they are always hungry, for the best tasting fillets, I go after yellow perch.

Ha! Ditto! Went deep sea fishing once. Everyone was catching more than they can take home and all I managed to get was a pink starfish.

I tried fishing one time and caught nothing but an unopened news paper. I decided to spend my time other ways from then on.

I am only a "blackfisher". That's what we call someone doing something without license or permission or even without paying taxes ;)

In former days I also went "blackdriving" (before I was old enough) :o
