Not very good pictures today, but I don't want to bother the queen too much. She has around 45-ish brood pieces, but apparently she's gonna eat a lot of them :(

On the other hand... LARVAE. She has ~4 ish small larvae from when I checked in the morning

Nice! Do you know if that is sanguinea or rufa group?

 

The host workers are rufa group F. integroides. I keyed workers from where I caught the queen and they come out to sanguinea group F. aserva

Ah, OK, I was wondering about that, the workers looked considerably different. The queen looks very similar to the sanguinea group Formica I see in the Eastern Sierras.


Species being kept:

Yeah the ones in the eastern sierras are most likely aserva as well.
