On the first of June I caught 5 Veromessor cf. andrei queens, in the San Francisco Bay area. They were dealated and crawling around, and I caught all of them within 15 yards of each other. Below are photos of a worker I photographed the evening before, the first dealate I found, and a male alate found that same morning.

If you have a picture of the queens from the side where it shows the underside of the head and you don't see psammophore it's V. andrei.
