Veromessor andrei queens arrived today with eggs from jeffpbalderston. It seems like the second queen ate all but one, but the other has a nice batch of maybe 10 eggs. I've wanted veromessor for a while and will research the species's care further. Heres a yt short of the queen with more eggs recorded from my handheld microscope:

Wish me luck!

The second queen seems to have significantly less development then the main one, and the theory I have is because she was getting less heat since the heating cable was touching less of the tube.
I've now fixed this.

Both queens died. The colony with 2 nanitics did fine for a while, but the whole colony died recently, not sure why, maybe overheating? Its been hotter then usual where I live lately, so maybe that's why, but a mysterious death indeed.

Hoping I'll be able to find some next year. I bought these two from Jeff.
