What happened?

Vendayn allegedly spammed a bunch of people with REALLY inappropriate. He just got banned.

The only accurate way to describe Vendayn is a degenerate. Sending pornography to minors is a serious crime.

I am still just just baffled at why he would do such a thing, if he knew that he could get sued for this. Was he angry at someone?

what's his deal? I'm glad to be rid of him, as well as to have escaped the message. I will say though, to my knowledge you can't send pictures in a PM so he most likely sent a link I'm guessing. If you opened a link from Vendayn, well, let's just say I'm not surprised.

he might have been angry at me, but all i did was call him out for trashing the argentine thread.

You did nothing that I wouldn't do Manitobant. I agree with that thought process and I think its completely wrong. He had a ban coming for a while and he finally got what he's deserved for a while. I will say though, I think the chances of him not making an alt are slim, and I wouldn't be surprised if he came on in a different profile and caused havoc again. Can you IP ban, Drew?

Young ant keeper with a decent amount of knowledge on local ant species.

Currently kept ant species, favorites have a star in front of their names (NOT in alphabetical order, also may be outdated sometimes): ★ Camponotus irritans inferior, ★ Ooceraea biroi, Pheidole parva, ★ Nylanderia sp., ★ Paraparatrechina tapinomoides, Platythyrea sp., Anochetus sp., Colobopsis sp. (cylindrica group), ★ Crematogaster ferrarii, Polyrhachis (Myrma) cf. pruinosa, Polyrhachis (Cyrtomyrma) laevissima, Tapinoma sp. (formerly Zatapinoma)

Death count: Probably over a hundred individual queens and colonies by now. I cannot recall whatsoever.

Vendayn was kind of a troll. He would behave very childishly (His journal on invasive ants was rated poorly so he started spamming other people’s journals with 1 star ratings, would trash threads, then make sarcastic, pointless posts after that etc.) We’re all glad he is banned now lol

He used to be a good member of the forum and has been around since before Formiculture was around.  The past couple years have really gone down the tubes for his control over how he reacted to things that upset him on the forum.  I also know he has many personal issues he has been dealing with recently, which probably explains the outbursts, but it does not excuse what he did at all.

What surprises me is that he allegedly sent something so bad that someone could call the cops on him with good reason.

Just to be clear, the image itself was not anything illegal, but clearly against the rules. He has been banned permanently.

An Ip ban is completely possible but if your smart, making an alt account is easy.
