Title says it all. These are my favorite ants, and I had a founding queen that didn't make it. Thank you!

Yeah, I considered that...  Just seeing if anyone one here sells them. :)

I've been wondering the same thing. THA is far too expensive, imo.

100% agreed.  I think it has gotten a bit ridiculous.  I am NOT paying 100 usd for a queen with 5 nanitics...  :(

I agree. Pogonomyrmex aren't even that crazy exotic. I can't imagine if they had leafcutters for sale.

82 plus shipping for a queen and brood and possibly 1 worker by time of shipping. when it gets there you get around 5-6 workers. I've seen people only use bamboo test tubes from etsy and the founding queen started out with 30 workers and produced alates male and female only 7 months later.

and on top of that, they have crazy huge flights! you can catch hundreds of them if you are in the right place. tha already makes enough money off of their formicariums...

and on top of that, tha brood boosts his queens...

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8

He doesn't anymore, anyway that increases success of queens, 2 its easy if you have a colony of like 500 or more even 100 or more just place heat in their outworld. I'm keeping mine through hibernation by the way adak and I'm getting my dad to get me about 3-4 bamboo test tubes because they can get to around 1000 in those and produce alates. Next year if i buy another Pogonomyrmex queen to start a shop I'm keeping her in a bamboo test tube semi claustral and she will have at least 30-40 in founding.
