I was going to try the talcum powder alcohol barrier thing. Don't want to kill my ants. What brand or type of talcum powder/babypowder and alcohol should I use?

Johnson and johnson works fine. I really don't think there is a difference. I would recommend fluon if you have the money, though. It is much better and looks cleaner.

Which fluon brand/seller do you recommend?

Is there cheaper fluon then byFormica? On amazon it's 30 bucks. Bit pricey for me but I'll get it if I need to.

I bought some and haven't had any issues with it.  Priced good and you get a good amount too.

Currently keeping Tetramorium Immigrans and Camponotus Pennsylvanicus in THA mini hearths.  I also have a couple Prenolepis Imparus queens in test tubes.
