One of the most interesting type of ant is the termite raiders, which break into termite colonies and massacre the workers for food. The most well known is megaponera, also known as the matabele ant. Something that has really surprised me is why nobody has attempted to keep these, as with a constant supply of termites it should be theoretically easy. Is there another factor I'm missing out on, and why hasnt anyone tried?

Brachyponera chinensis are termite specialists too. I have kept them with ease.

Yes. Lots of them. My small 80 worker colony took nearly 70 termites in one day.

Painful, leptogenys are painful (but fun) to keep.
