I froze an ant and it still hasn't woken up yet. Is it dead?

Also you cannot put tropical ants into a fridge, they have no way to deal with colder temperatures they never experience in the wild and they will just die.

They do have a way of dealing with it because they are insects. It’s called diapause. I understand that the species wouldn’t experience it in the Philippines. But they are still insects that have the ability to enter that diapause.
I once froze (in an attempt to euthanize them) Polyrachis dives for a full day and they survived.

10/10 thread, do recommend.

All jokes aside, I got quite a laugh out of reading this.

A few questions...

Why am I reading this?

Why would you paint an ant?

Where was the ant from?

What kind of ant was it?

Do you even keep ants?

and Why would you put an ant in the freezer?

This is the most hilarious thread I've ever read. Although, I'm seriously concerned about the dog.

How bout next time you just catch a golden ant, then there's no need to paint it (y)

I don't know why people keep commenting on here, there is no need and there is nothing useful being added to this.  It just seems like you want to keep the argument going.  He is obviously done with it; drop it.
