My roommate and I are giant insect and biology nerds and are looking to liven up our apartment by adopting a colony. We are not too picky about what species with the exception of stinging ants, but they do need to be from North Carolina. We have done a lot of research about taking care of one, and are fully committed to the health of whatever ant colony we are blessed with. If you have a colony/queen for sale or adoption and live in North Carolina (preferably in the Raleigh area) and you would like to get in contact with me, you can reach me by email at shanna.peluso13@gmail.com

Lucky for you, you are right next to tar heel ants. They sell nice formicariums as well as colonies. I think they also have a museum in Raleigh.
