i live in sacramento ca and am really new to anting and want to find my own queens. any information you can post here would greatly help me.

i need to know what ants are here, the flights of the ants in my area, where i can expect to find the ants as well as best conditions, what a starter needs to do first etc.

been reading on the subject for awhile now and now its spring so i want to start my own ant colonies and i want a diversity of ants as well.

I'm having trouble finding anything more then Argentine ants atm

if anyone is familiar with the area and knows it. you would be my new best friend.

thank you

Cool I'm moving to Sacramento California soon! I know that the flights happen normaly after it rains but u have probably heard that so.... I know that their is a website called Antmap.org and u just type in the type of ant ur looking for and it pops us different areas that u can find them in. I know that in California u can find a LOT of different types of ants, such as Honey pot ants (don't know where they are found), P. Imparis (my favorite), fungus growers (don't know the name but Drew has a topic about it) and a lot more! I hope u find a lot of different ants! I am also looking forwards to getting info off of this topic too. Don't know if this was that helpful but I hope it help a bit(^∇^)
