Please somebody tell me if a thread exists for this already, which I think there is but i'm going to do this anyways.

How did you guys come up with your usernames? I'm going to start, so I love coding, tech and what not, and ants. So simply, I put Tech and Ant together, combining two of my favorite hobbies and my username was made.

My Ants:
(x1) Campontous semitstaceus ~20 workers, 1 Queen
(x1) Camponotus vicinus ~10 workers, 1 Queen (all black variety)
(x1) Tetramorium immigrans ~100 workers, 1 Queen
(x1) Myrmercocystus mexicanus -1 Queen
(x2) Mymercocystus mimcus -1 Queen
(x1) Mymercocystus testaceus ~45 workers, 1 Queen

Well, most people do the cookie cutter ants (insert where you live). I sorta flipped that around. I live in the temperate region (New England) and put ant.

This is my name for everything. If this name is ever taken(which is very unlikely) I add "101DDD". I think this name originated from when I was 8-9 and played roblox, people wrote ":D" but I failed to recognize the smiley face. So that's where I got the D part from. There are 3 of them because everything is better when there is 3 of them. 101 comes from stuff like "how to _____ 101" I added another 3 more Ds because everything is better when it's symmetrical.

I wanted something that was fun... Buzz in the Tunnels is my ant's YouTube name. I kind of wanted something that meant both ants and bees because one day I'd love to keep bees too and maybe something meaning news. I liked the idea of "BitT" for a nickname for both getting "bit" by something and the "little bit" for small things? I don't know my thought process is weird and messy but it comes together in the end. lol

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

While my name is cookie cutter, I would have done something different, however ever since I joined the AntsCanada forum in 2018 as AntsDakota, I had the vision of my website, AntsDakota.com. Only now is it coming to reality, but I still had it planned all along. I did have some more interesting usernames in mind, but I'm a very uniform person, and my username had to match the franchise.
