Not sure what you're talking about.

Ugh...Trying to find things you've done is very hard. Get some better organization man!
I'll find direct links and post the question better than I did the first time.

I would like to buy one. I got my mail order formicarium from amazon.com. It is extremely small and just isn't that good.

Made a few different designs, hope y'all like them (all ytong). I'm located in North Carolina
They all have magnetic nest lids, vented attached foraging areas, and water chambers with 150 micron screen for humidity control.

I wondered that too, but no harm done I guess. At least it was a good video.

I prefer quite simple and cheap setups for my formicariums and nests. This is the outworld of my Camponotus nicobarensis colony:

Outworld Top View

Basically it's a flat plastic box filled with and and the piece of dead wood is going to be their new nest. Currently the major part of the colony still lives in the test tube but they are building a new one inside the wood:

The top of the piece of wood is used as a feeding platform:

Drinking sugar water

The outworld is secured by a layer of dry talcum powder. I chose such a flat box since I wanted to be able to make good photos and videos of the ants without having glass between the ants and the camera. With this setup I can get really close. Maybe I will connect more such flat boxes with some kind of wooden bridges but currently the space is more than enough for that small colony.

Post this stuff elsewhere. This thread is specifically for pictures of formicaria. If you need an ID go make a thread in the ID section. :)

I'm not usually a fan of "natural nests", but this is a pretty cool idea. Keep us updated on the colony's progress. Maybe you can make a journal some time :)
