I rescued this queen from my pool in my backyard. I do not remember the exact date I caught her, I know it was during the months March-April. I live in a desert climate so the habitat is "desert scrub".  Her length was 9-10 millimeters, I couldn't tell exactly due to her darting back and forth. She is shiny dark black in color, she has very small hairs that go from her head down to her gaster. I can not locate the original nest. She has already laid brood and hatched two very small workers (about a mm in length) so I know she is fertile. I would like to know her I.D as well as food and moisture preferences.  Apparently I am "not permitted to upload this kind of file" so I uploaded it on this image host, https://ibb.co/dzohfJdon't worry it isn't a virus.

:)

Lol so sorry now that I look they are about 3 mm long, but she is Veromessor Pergandei? Can't wait to research their needs.

The pictures show 10-11mm in length, which means probably a very late flying V. pergandei.
