^it just is... Some workers have large thoraxes but up close have no wing scarring and lack a large, bulky mesosoma

The gaster really is small compared to the thorax also, in the photos; the ant's general size and appearance give it away as a worker.

edited...as in it's bulky in the blue and not in the yellow, where it should be. And it's relative size and gaster are not that of a queen.
