Caught this small colony underneath a stone slab in my backyard back in March. I've just been feeding them sugar water mostly. The queen has laid a nice pile of about 20 eggs.

Can you get a shot of the queen? I want to compare her to my Formica cf. incerta queen and see if I got the ID right.

I don't know if this helps or not, she likes to hide under her workers a lot.
