Thanks in advance! This was picked up inside a house near San Jose, CA. Just hanging out and my son saw it on the carpet. 

 

1. Location (on a map) of collection: Saratoga, CA

2. Date of collection: 5/25/18
3. Habitat of collection: Wooded - Oak, Sycamore, Redwood - creek side
4. Length (from head to gaster): 11mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: somewhat shiny, some hair on the gaster
6. Distinguishing characteristics: 
7. Distinguishing behavior: seemed thirsty when I first put it in the test tube
8. Nest description: n/a

9. Nuptial flight time and date: n/a
