Hi All,

I have together three queens purchased from two different friends in california separated by a bit more than one month apart and I have real difficulty distinguishing whether it is Pogonomyrmex californicus or maricopa. I have done my research into the color variants of californicus and mine (if it was californicus) would have the red gaster. The first queen I received have already made it to three nanitics. The oldest nanitic hatched more than a week ago but the color still hasn't settled from light yellow.
