So for some odd reason my Formica colony of 155 workers is foraging for food and are now active. Should I leave them in hibernation or take them out? (hibernation started October 5).

3 1/2 months?  that's long enough for hibernation.

It is? I was told four to six months and no less.

Can my Camponotus herculeanus come out?

I do 3 1/2 to 4 months hibernation time.  6 months is pretty extreme, although they can handle it. Northern species anyway.

Last year I only gave them 2 1/2 months. I was a noob.

If its been 3 months or more, then any ant is fine to come out of hibernation.

I just let the weather outside tell me when hybernation is over xD i leave my ants in the basement and it keeps em with natural temps (or around it)
