I caught this here Pogonomyrmex queen on May 22nd or 23rd

She is 8-9 mm

She was found in Riverside, CA which is semi-arid climate.

I know she is semi-claustral and is of the Pogonomyrmex species, because she was partly identified on www.antscanada.com.

Anyway here are the best photos of about 20 or so
