Hello!

I am heavily interested in Ants and find them fascinating! I do not have a colony yet but I am looking to start one next year (as it is too late now to find any queens in the UK) while spending this year / time learning as much as I can and preparing as much as I can for my future Colony!

Hello from deepest darkest Wales.  I’m in the same position as yourself.  it’s too cold to start now but I will buy a queen in March.  I will buy a Lasius Niger queen.  I will see how things go and may try to capture a queen later in the year.
