Hello, I'm from Southern California.  Ill be starting ant journals soon for those interested.  Got quite the collection of Tarheel and Ants Canada products to play with, this is about 3/4 of it.  I'm lucky enough to be close to Nurbs and dspdrew, and have acquired some of their colonies. Been running temperature controller tests, heater tests, various food tests ect.  Hope to contribute what/when I can.

Thank you! This forum has been a tremendous source of information for me.  Id love to have more colonies!

wow so many formicariums...

A lot of these formicaria required extensive lead times.  Having no control over when they would arrive, and wanting to be able to bring on a lot of colonies.  I felt it was the best decision since ant keeping is a long term deal.  For me I have no plans on stopping for years to come.  I was also really hoping to catch a bunch off of a flight this year, but only managed to get one that landed on my truck  there's always next year.

Very nice set up. Welcome from the other half of California

Thank you!

 Pogonomyrmex rugosus

myrmecocystus navajo
Pogonomyrmex californicus

are not in this picture.  I keep them all in a warmer temp aquarium.

Welcome to Formiculture, man!

Thank you!

Thanks! I dedicated a closet to the ant cause, and the rest of that room.  Thanks for everything Drew

Hi, in the picture, on that second shelf, the two formicariums on the left, where did you get those?

I would speculate he might have spent a thousand dollars or more on all of that stuff.
