Hi, I'm Russ,

I've been lurking in the background here for a little over a month.  My six-year-old son and I got into ants this last spring just in time to catch a camponotus and a couple formica queens.  When the camponotus queen perished, I began researching ant care online.  That led us to Mikey's videos, and we have been keeping a journal of our ants on the AntsCanada forum. In the late summer a search for formicarium designs led me here.

Like many of the users here, I've been working on my own formicarium designs--3D printed in my case.  Lately, I've been working with Dan (Works4theGood) on his formicarium design, which has gone through a number of iterations.

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and thank the members here for providing excellent information and interesting discussions.  I hope to post more in the future as time permits.
