I see these frequently up in the Sierra mountains but never collect as they are never my focus. Shipping these during summer months is risky just so you are aware. I'm up North around truckee/Tahoe area.

Which part of the Sierra Mountains? How risky? What do you mean? Will they arrive safely in the mail?

Termites and summer heat are not friends. They will begin practically baking in the back of a truck. I would ship the colony on an ice pack or some other cooling to ensure survival.

Ants are small creatures... but together... they can rule the world.

They don't fly in the spring or summer? It's not that hot right now. It's still Spring.

My fire ants fly in the summer, but if I put their test tube out on Daytona Beach during these days the 100 degree weather will cook them, and I’ll have barbecue ants for dinner.

I just remembered your summer hasn’t started yet.
Florida summer started about a month ago.

You're in Florida? How hot is it over there? Are you near the beach? Termites fly too? Lol.

I’m inland, not the beach. 95 degrees all week, got to 105 last week.
