Camponotus maccooki is a Mexican species - type locale reported as "Mexico" by Forel (1879), then restricted to Guadalupe Island by Forel (1885). Antmaps, like usual, erroneously classified the taxon and records. The United States records of "C. maccooki" on Antmaps is in references to the outdated trinomial "Camponotus maculatus maccooki" and taxonomic work on Tanaemyrmex before R.S. Snelling cleared much of it. "Camponotus maculatus maccooki" is now the valid taxon C. semitestaceus. The valid taxon C. maccooki is from the outdated trinomial taxon "Camponotus sylvaticus macooki".
As for the gyne you collected, it looks nothing like Camponotus maccooki gynes in the slightest. The flattening of the scapes, to a much greater degree than C. maccooki, is the key indicatior of this being C. vicinus, in which it is.

Looking for
Myrmecocystus pyramicus, Myrmecocystus testaceus
Pheidole creightoni, Pheidole inquilina, Crematogaster coarctata, Crematogaster mutans
Sounds tempting, but what brings you to the conclusion that this is C. maccooki rather than C. vicinus, or any other tanaemyrmex? Not saying that this is C. vicinus, but just wondering why it might be C. maccooki.
