As the title states I’m looking for affordable Armadillidium vulgare Non-wildtype color morphs. Hopefully someone can hook me up so my terrarium can have some unique life!

I can send you some Armadillidium maculatum zebra isopods. Send me a PM. Bear in mind that Armadillidium will eat any moss and most types of plants in a terrarium.

Thanks for the offer! I’m specifically looking for vulgare. I already added some vulgare wild type morphs and want something fancy they can breed with. Much appreciated

I remember trying to selectively breed wild type A. vulgare to get unique morphs back in quarantine lmao. The breeding happened, but their container ended up drying out after a while.

Last I heard, some colorful vulgare were somehow incompatible with other vulgare. It was kind of confusing. I was like, "but but but same species...."

Veromessor pergandei, andrei; Novomessor cockerelli

Camponotus fragilis; also separate journal: Camponotus sansabeanus, vicinus, quercicola

Liometopum occidentale; Prenolepis imparis; Myrmecocystus mexicanus

Pogonomyrmex subnitidus and previously californicus

Tetramorium sp.

Termites: Zootermopsis angusticollis

Isopods: A. gestroi, granulatum, kluugi, maculatum, vulgare; C. murina; P. hoffmannseggi, P. haasi, P. ornatus; V. parvus

Spoods: Phidippus sp.

Interesting!!! I’ll have to check more out about crossing morphs.

I’ve been selectively adding A. vulgare with exaggerated yellow markings or cool camouflage looking markings. Always have to make sure it’s vulgare and not nasatum. Hopefully I get a nice population going. Then it’s free isopods to all :hug:
