Hey all!
1. Location (on a map) of collection: North Island, New Zealand
2. Date of collection: 20th October 2023
3. Habitat of collection: Pavement, next to garden
4. Length (from head to gaster): ~10mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Glossy black
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Yellow-orange mandibles and leg tips
7. Distinguishing behavior: Very skiddish
8. Nest description: ?

9. Nuptial flight time and date: 20th October 2023

Yeah, I'm sorry for the really crappy photos. She was just so skiddish in light!

I think some big iridomyrmex maybe purpureus correct me if I'm wrong.

Antmaps says they're only indoor introduced in NZ and the legs look too thin to be a purpureus queen. I do see the similarity with iridomyrmex, although I cross referenced her all introduced iridomyrmex species ans none seemed to match.
