Epic colony, great ending. What state are you headed to if you don't mind me asking.

I hate to hear that you're leaving Utah! I drove through it when I was moving back to Florida from Oregon and I was amazed at its beauty. I wish I could have stopped and seen more of it, but unfortunately I had a strict timeline I needed to follow.

Great journal, and I can't wait to see what ants you record in the future.

Bummed to hear this is the end :*( Always felt extra motivated for growing my own colonies whenever I would read.

I'm not entirely sure yet, but I'll be leaving sometime this fall for a few years. I'll likely be coming back here afterwards. No promises, but In the meantime I'm thinking of making a few more dome nests.

Dang! You've done a lot for the community here in Utah. I bought my first ants from you, you built me some nice formicarium, and you always did a great job of posting species locations and nuptial flights that were a ton of help to me in my first year. Your research and thorough documentation has provided a great springboard for anyone getting into ant keeping in Utah. Your absence will definitely be felt. Best of luck to you in your new adventures though, and hope to see you back one day.

I would totally be interested in buying one of those dome formicarium if you get around to making them before you leave.
