I contacted one of the only producers of AAC in the states: Aercon, interested in purchasing defunct scrap bricks. They replied that if I were local, I could come get these scraps for free. For anyone in Florida, I would be willing to pay shipping and some extra for some of these blocks. If you live in the general area of the AAC plant feel free to reply or reach out to me and we can work something out.

Aercon is located in Haines City, FL 33844

I'm headed down there in March if all else fails. I could swing in then.

That would be appreciated, keep me updated. I think anyone in the vicinity could help supply a large demand for ytong in the states. Not saying they should make a large business out of it, but it would be nice to try ytong out for once, and I'm sure there are a few other ant keepers who would agree.

I know a guy who lives about an hour from there. I will try to get in touch with him and maybe make something happen sooner.

I had to cancel my March visit. I won't be back down in the area until the end of June. Freight companies are always a valid option though. LTL Companies like Old Dominion will move large freight fairly cheap.

Has anyone tried their stuff before? Their AAC might be the same as EU and Aus. I've gotten some AAC here and it was pretty much the same hardness as our standard concrete except its white and more air pockets
