So my colony was released into their outworld last night and decided the tubing is a better home than that formicarium.  Any suggestions on how to get them to move in instead of squatting in the tubes?

I have two suggestions run a heat cable under the new nest  but keep it pretty far away from the ants or expose the vinyl tubing to light but pointing away from the nest then make the new nest dark.

What's your setup look like? A photo would help with giving better advice. My general rule of thumb is to cover the new nest and heat it. (Heat in the corner opposite your water source.Tower, sponge, etc.)

Sounds like the colony is pretty small, I would just leave them alone and let them decide where they want to live until the colony gets larger. They probably feel most comfortable in the close quarters of the tubing rather then the formicarium, especially if the nest is spacious.

They are smaller about 100 workers coming from the test tube.  Yha just hoping they do ok in the tube   Its my first colony. Would love for them to find the new water source but its at the bottom of the formacarium.  Haven't removed their test tube cause its a known water source and the only one they are using.

They loved the agave nectar they got when they first moved in, but don't seem to interested in the worm I gave them yet  I have since cut it in 1/2 and gave them 1/2 of it.

What species is this? I suggest pointing a straw at the tubing and blowing on them every so often. Ants hate airflow, so you’ll convince them the tubing is not ideal. Direct sunlight will also get ants moving quick, but take great care not to bake them.

Camponotus Discolor 
ha moved the light more to entice them to the formicarium but turned down the brightness on it a little bit.. They also just started munching on the worm so maybe that will get them moving a bit.. First real meal they have ever had.
